For the second or third time now, I've been asked for a phone call before confirming, but then nobody picks up or there's no response. With over an hour of travel time, I can't just head out when there's still radio silence right before the meeting. I can't block out 3–4 hours every single time just because there's no feedback again.

Always stick to the truth! So who was it that didn't show up for the first date? It had finally worked out, and then you just never showed. I'm sitting here, all done up, and you don't show up, don't even call – and the phone was right next to me. What nonsense, really. Always stick to the truth.
